Hey, how are you?

Did you have a restful holiday weekend? Do you also feel like it passed you by too fast? I hear you. For many of us, the passing of Labor Day represents the end of summer and the beginning of shorter days, cooler temps, and the inevitable return to our responsibilities. It is the sister holiday to Valentine’s Day—a day that frankly serves as nothing more than a reminder that your favorite holidays have passed and you still have 5 more dreadful weeks of winter. It can be hard for some of us to say goodbye to warmer nights and endless, sun-filled days, but not for me. As someone who loves fall just as much as summer, I can tell you that there is really only one way to fight the end-of-summer gloom and that is to embrace everything that the new season has in store. Remember how good it feels to drink warm beverages outdoors in the crisp, cool air, with a soft, plush scarf draped around your neck? How about the scent of apples, cinnamon, and campfire? Welcome these early September days by burning a fall-scented candle, sifting through your fall wardrobe, and baking some spicy pumpkin bread; plan a camping trip where you can catch the fall foliage and choose a fall reading list that you can look forward to. It isn’t too early—it is the exact perfect time to immerse yourself in the season of change.
