Take a Hike Today

For many years, I considered hiking to be a pretty boring form of exercise. I always asked myself, “Why hike when I can run?” and “Who has time for that?” But recently, my thoughts on hiking have taken a sharp turn in the opposite direction and well, I think I finally get it. The following series of photographs are brought to you by Oregon state parks and national forests. If it weren’t for them, I would still be climbing the stair master on any given Saturday afternoon.
